A highly enthusiastic crowd is treated to some high-octane excitement, including a wild mixed match between cute Utako Hozumi & her handsome partner vs the roguish team of Shinobu Kandori & Yoshiaki Fujiwara. In addition to the great wrestling, the thing that made the LLPW releases so much fun was the cute video tricks between matches, and the incredible guitar music in the backdrop. It almost makes the whole thing seem surreal.

Another awesome commercial release from LLPW, pitting FMW's hardcore beauty, Megumi Kudo against LLPW's premier tough woman, Shinobu Kandori. The result is an awesome, and historic encounter that only the women's wrestling organizations of Japan had the guts to put together for their fans. Both women are drenched in blood by the time it's over, and Kudo is thankful to still be alive. Check out Miho Watanabe back in 1997. She was even more of cutie back then, than she is she is today! Another superb import.

Here, the LLPW women prove how tough they are by putting on a show that showcases REAL fighting, UF style. Always happy to show that they can kick ass in a real fight, Shinobu Kandori, Yumiko Hotta & Lioness Asuka are there to represent the women of professional wrestling, as well as Sayori Okino and Junkyo Yagi. Wow! Noriyo Tateno looks great. Almost like her JBA days. Kyoko Kamura & Mako Ogawa give us a peek at the talent on the horizon, Hikaru dismantles Obacchi. The real surprise of this show is Lee Hye Ran & Choi So Ra. Two very pretty girls, who look more like teenage fashion models than wrestlers. They rely more on martial arts than wrestling, and it is quite effective. It takes a while for Kandori & Saito to figure them out. Lee Hye Ran & Choi So Ra look like future tag champs in the making. Cool Main Event, as well. Poor Raven gets planted! Japanese Import. Excellent quality video and sound.

All the vegetables in the world won't help Obacchi in this one, as no-nonsense Hikaru takes her out in record time!

Another Classic LLPW release! This one is a good look at the young talents like Michiko Ohmukai, taking their lumps at the hands of experienced pros. Michiko Nagashima is treated especially mean by Rumi Kazama, who refuses to pin her, even when she's out cold! When Michiko is unable to continue, the ref calls the finally match. It does not get much better for Miki Honda, as Tateno gives her a drubbing to last a lifetime. Yasha Kurenai tries to show her understudy Nagashima how it's done, and nearly gets them both killed by Eagle Sawai, who powerbombs both into a state of oblivion. This one is like a Squashfest! IMPORT. Excellent VQ, sound and camera.

Every time I see one of these AJW super-shows from that period, I can only sigh. The wrestling was at it's best, and the events were incredible gatherings of world class talent.. Those days are gone, but thanks to video we can relive them. Each match is complete and in it's entirety, with all the fanfare leading up to the matches fully intact. This show is an bsolutely perfect video and sound production. Comes on two T120 video cassettes.

AJW celebrates 30 years of it's own excellence, while paying tribute to all the great stars of Japanese Women's Wrestling over the past 40 years! I am fortunate as a fan to posses this show on video. Many legends and honorees are in attendance, and several lend their name and wrestling talent to this project. The kicker is a great match between Manami Toyota and Chigusa Nagayo. I'm still stunned at the incredible ending of this great match. I don't think I've ever seen Manami cry "uncle", but Chigusa was in rare form, and could not be beaten by anyone on this night.

AJW: Dreamslam I Part 2
This is the second volume in the 3-tape Dreamslam I collection. Tape one is mostly ceremonial, so no loss there. The wrestling action actually begins here with Volume II. Incredible action up and down the card, beautiful women in the prime of their careers. I've not seen a more beautiful and dramatic match than the Hasegawa/Ito vs Mariko Fukuoka match. The action is so fierce, Hasegawa comes out of this one with a black eye! In the second match, American, Terri Power's busted arm is worked so cruelly, that she is totally incapacitated. Mima Shimoda, in the third match, is at this point in her career, the most beautiful and sensuous looking woman in all of wrestling. Her beauty is only surpassed by her tenacity in the ring, which we get a heavy dose of against the girls from EMLL. After a bitterly fought shoot-fight, there's the ass-kicker�Devil Masami vs Chigusa Nagayo. While they have fought numerous times, you will agree with me that this one is the crown prince of their battles. Cameras everywhere, and from every angle. What a production! I have called several shows "one of the best ever", but this is the one that stands alone as the absolute best women's wrestling show, ever. Excellent VQ and Sound.

JWP pretty-girls Mariko & Fukuoka score an incredible victory in a well fought, beautifully paced masterpiece.

Terri Power & Saemi Numata vs. Shark Tsuchiya & Crusher Maedomari
Terri comes in with a shoulder injury, and is quickly reduced to a one-armed fighter. Saemi is then destroyed.

Mima Shimoda & Tomoko Watanabe vs. Infernal Kaoru & Ultima Tigrita
I've seen my share of Lucha vs Joshi matches, but this one is spectacular. Another near-perfect wrestling match.

AJW: Budokan Queendom '93 Pt.1
Nobody serves it up like AJW! Nearly six hours of wrestling, and completely without a "snore match". The highlights are many, but particularly the AJW vs LLPW elimination match. All the women get in some really great stuff. Bull Nakano finally brings it home for team AJW, but not before Eagle Sawai runs roughshod over everyone else in her path enroute to their showdown. In one of my all time favorite matches, Takako Inoue, knowing full well she can beat Cuty Suzuki anytime she feels like it, toys with her just long enough to give the fans what they wanted to see�the two beauty goddesses of wrestling in the ultimate fantasy match! AJW: Budokan Queendom '93 Pt.2
The action heats up as we advance toward our Champion vs Champion match for the WWA title between Aja Kong and Dynamite Kansai. If wrestling is not real, somebody better tell these girls. Yumiko Hotta's kicks are so stiff, you'd think Hikari's pretty head was going to land in the upper deck of the seating area. With Megumi Kudo sprawled out on the arena floor, Kaoru Ito mounts the top rope, and lands a full weight, death-drop double stomp dead into her stomach. I know that's gotta hurt! And let's not even think about the things that Kong and Kansai do to each other. The dedication to realism in each match is astounding. Every match is filled with spots that just make you sit back and say "wow!" . That's what make it so good to watch�you forget that it's "only" wrestling. AJW: ZENJO MANIA SPRING '94-II
1994 may have been the best year for the modern AJW era. Every show seems to be better than the last. Young Maekawa show off her very feminine legs, as she wrestles in a one-piece, ditto for Chaparita ASARI. Actually, all the women are at the height of their beauty and athleticism, so the action is crisp and on point�well except for Chaparita ASARI nearly killing herself trying to pull off her Skytwister press. Even with that, the match is a doozy! Good stuff all the way down the card. Perfectly recorded from it's Japanese master, great for the widescreen and surround sound system.

AJW Queendom II: Yokohama '94 Part 2
Man, the hits just keep on coming. Lots of things you would only see in 1994. Cutie Suzuki, who normally wears white, makes a rare appearance in her all black tights. OZ, like Chaparita Asari in Volume I, actually wears traditional tights�showing off her beautiful legs. American Reggie Bennet brings some serious muscle to the table, as she and Sawai form a powerful tag team. Hotta can match them, but Takako will have to rely on superior wrestling, and that's not enough! Cringe as OZ and Cuty hold hands and dive together into Etsuko Mita's stomach, full weight, with an amazing diving quadruple stomp! Somebody give Etsuka back her spleen, it's in the third row!!! But that's only the tip of the iceberg, as the women round out the show with some of the most dangerous, high impact maneuvers seen in a wrestling ring. This is the great Tokyo Dome event that was often spoken of by the WWF in explaining Alundra Blayze's loss of the women's title to Bull Nakano. At this great event all the best from the various wrestling organizations are on hand to compete for the title of TOP WOMAN. While Alundra Blayze (Madusa Miceli) did not compete for that particular honor, she did defend the WWF Ladies title on the card. This tape is full of delights. There's the opening squash match featuring beautiful Takako Inoue. Etsuko Mita bringing the pain as only she can. Kumiko Maekawa nearly kicking Chikako Shiratori's pretty little head right off it's shoulders. Mima Shimoda at the height of her beauty and skill. Plus, one helluva good match as the finisher. This is the ultimate bang for the buck match. There is so much action in the finale that you really need the big screen TV so that you can get right in there with them. High octane throughout the whole video. A great production, and a viewing pleasure.

While nearly murdered in the ring, these kids almost pulled off an amazing upset! Plus, there's a great Takako Inoue vs Mariko Yoshida match that not only spills out of the ring, but winds up in the upper deck of the auditorium! Yumiko Hotta vs Kyoko Inoue in killer bout between two of the true powerhouses of women's wrestling. The payoff is the extraordinary title match grand finale between Manami Toyota and Aja Kong. AJW Grand Prix 1997. It just does not get much better than this! The blockbuster match between Aja Kong and Kyoko Inoue is the headliner, but my favorite is the match between Manami Toyota & Mima Shimoda. Two exceedingly beautiful women with the skills to match, turn their wrestling match into a violet symphony of pain.. Talk about your squash matches! What Shimoda & Mita do to Nakanishi & Ito is downright criminal. It's a bloodbath. This whole release is rock solid form top to bottom. The camera & sound are incredible. Excellent quality in every way imaginable..
